IS IT A SIN?

 In ethics, there is something we call the principal of double effect action. In this case a person weighs between doing a bad thing because it is deemed so and doing something that may save a situation. For example, it's bad to abort and malaria drugs' can lead to what may be deemed a abortion. In a situation when a woman is pregnant and suffering from malaria, one is caught up in a situation of taking the drug and lose the child and not taking the drug and lose both the mother and the child to malaria.

This sister in the church is caught up in a similar situation. Don't get pregnant such that she doesn't look like a sinner and face being not able to give birth or find a way of having a child and still remain a Christian. With this in mind, I think it's okey to have artificial insemination.

Christians will not think this is right but humanity is beyond that.

However for the above condition to be fully acceptable it must follow the following conditions;

The action must not be the end in itself. In this case, getting pregnant must not be the end in itself but rather to solve a problem of fearing to be a childless old woman.

Secondly, there should not be another option that would work out. In this case, does she have a chance of having a child in a way Christians would accept? She says she has failed to get a man in the Church. She cannot bear a child on her own so taking an alternative is wise.

However, I would advise  her on using artificial insemination because it does not involve the element of attachment that makes one a full human being. Bearing a child would be better after sex between a man and a woman which would help in bonding and attachment between the child, the mother and the father. That contributes to a full growth of a human being.

Is it a sin? A sin is an act/thought that contradicts God's ways. Is artificial insemination contradicting God's ways? Everything is God's ways so not a sin. But is it worth doing? No, it does not really raise real human beings but beings that are presumed to be human.

Did she commit a sin? I leave that to God. Did she do something wise? Yes according to her dilemma but calls all other humans to be careful.

That's my humble thought

BE CAREFUL WITH HELPING PEOPLE

You are destroying yourself and you call it love. You call it loyalty or being a good person but in the cold light of reality it is none of those things. It is self-sabotage wrapped in a moral blanket. There is a terrifying truth about human nature that most people are too afraid to admit. It is a lesson that civilized society tries to bury. The lesson is; not everyone can be saved and more importantly, not everyone wants to be saved. There are people in this world who are not looking for a hand up but rather an anchor and if you offer them your hand, they will not climb out of the water. They will pull and use your body as a raft to keep themselves afloat while you slowly drown in the depth of their chaos. I am sure you know who I am talking about. Perhaps you have met them, you are bleeding because of one right now, the friend who is always in a crisis, the partner who drains your soul but demands your patience, the family member who takes your money, your energy and your peace ...

THE INTELLIGENT

  “The one who knows and knows that they know is a teacher, you must listen to them. The one who knows and does not know that they know is asleep, please wake them up. The one who does not know and they know that they don't know is a student and must be taught. The one who does not know and does not know that they don’t know is an idiot and must be treated like so, especially when they have a loud mouth.” Bobi Wine in his song Katala Knowledge is facts about a particular subject while wisdom is the ability to use those facts and apply them in everyday life to yield positive results. Being wise incorporates being intelligent but takes a further step from the two. Having information and knowing how to apply it are two different things but work hand in hand. Intelligence is the capacity to learn, understand, analyze information and solve problems. Cognitive science and psychology will give more elaborate explanation of it. A highly intelligent person can process information quickl...

PHILOSOPHIES OF EDUCATION 3

  Existentialism This kind of philosophy was developed in the 20 th century. It adherently emphasizes individual existence, which is why it is referred to as existentialism. Existentialists believe there is no grand design by God or nature that human beings should fit. Instead, individuals are born into an indifferent, alien, and purposeless world. Because of this reality, life is fundamentally absurd. Each person has a task and ability to construct his own meaning in individual development. Jean-Paul Sartre one of the outspoken existentialist philosophers argued that ‘existence precedes essence’ which has become a catchphrase for existentialism. In individual development, a human being exits and then becomes. Each person should have the ability and choice to decide their essence. Truth is only relative to an individual’s judgment. There is no absolute truth. Objective universal and certain knowledge is unattainable. Each person must decide what is true and what is significant...
